Landscape Beyond at the Oxo Tower Gallery

WardLandscape Beyond is the title of a new book by David Ward (published by Envisage Books in limited edition and in softback by Argentum) and he has teamed up with Anna Booth for an exhibition of the same name at the Oxo Tower Gallery in London SE1. The show runs from 23-27 April. Both photograph the land in large format; the image here © David Ward is of Vikspollen, Norway. Ag reader makes an exhibition of himself

08_crw_2109For a recently completed project Mick Davidson undertook to make at least one self-portrait a day for a year. He’s ended up with 425 shots, all of which can be found at his website. A selection of the work, along with studies of Spanish graffiti, will be on show throughout February at Fotoacademie, Korte Prinsengracht 33, 1013 GN Amsterdam, Netherlands. Victorian photography: Free talks & events

Victorian Visions is an exhibition and events programme being held at Lady Lever Art Gallery (Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, near Liverpool) from 1 December until 16 March 2008 featuring several famous names from the period. A series of free talks during December and January has already been timetabled and you can find full details at the Lady Lever Art Gallery website.

Salgado at Battle

An exhibition of work by Sebastiao Salgardo is on show at The Independent Photographers Gallery in Battle, East Sussex, until 16 March. The Gallery is also running a new photo competition, The Terry O’Neill Award, with a top prize of £3000. Full details of all events at the gallery website.

Old processes on show

Cyanotype_rexThere is a group show of alternative process prints by Terry King and some of his past students at Croydon's Fairfield Halls from 9-21 October. Processes included in the show range from Cyanotype (and Cyanotype Rex) through Salt prints, Gum prints, Silver Gelatine and Platinum/Palladium to Polaroid emulsion lifts. This image of Venice is an example of Terry King's own Cyanotype Rex process.

Six students graduating from the BA Applied Photography & Digital Imaging course at Amersham & Wycombe College are displaying their talents at ZiZi Gallery, 23 Shepherd Market, London W1, from 4-9 July. Opening times are 10.30-18.30. ZiZi Gallery website.

De Monfort show dates

The Art & Design faculty of De Montfort University (Leicester) will be showcasing the work of final year students from 17-21 June in Central Reception, Fletcher Building, Mill Lane. Reuters in the dock

CharlesThe Robin Gallery is presenting "One Shot", an extraordinary selection of news images by Reuters photographers, until 25 June. (Above image by Peter Macdiarmid/Reuters.) The unusual thing about the gallery is that it is on board a 19th century boat, SS Robin, moored at West India Quay, London E14. In Search of Eden

DazeleyFour photographers - two of whom have featured in past issues of Ag - are on show at Stephanie Hoppen, 17 Walton Street, London SW3 from 11-29 May. Peter Dazeley (sunflower, right) and Josephine Sacabo have both contributed portfolios to Ag, and are joined in this group show titled 'In Search of Eden' by Sandra Russel Clark and David Halliday.
